Use of Cookies

Our website uses so-called “cookies.” Cookies are small text files that do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Persistent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or your web browser deletes them automatically.

In some cases, cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your device when you visit our site (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services provided by the third-party company (e.g., cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies serve various purposes. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., storing login information or language selection). Other cookies are used to analyze user behavior or display advertisements.

The use of cookies is permitted by law if the data processing involved serves the purpose of transmitting messages or providing a digital service (Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG). Your consent is required to enable all other cookies (Section 25(1) TDDDG). Data processing either takes place automatically, or the provision of your personal data is voluntary.

You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are set and to allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis, to block cookies in specific cases or generally, and to enable the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

If cookies from third parties or for analytical purposes are used, we will inform you separately about this within the scope of this Privacy Policy and, if necessary, request your consent.

You can change your cookie settings at any time by clicking the corresponding button (the red button with a fingerprint icon), which is located on the home page and every subpage.

Cookie Consent with Usercentrics

We use the Usercentrics consent management platform, provided by Usercentrics GmbH, Sendlinger Str. 7, 80331 Munich, to obtain your consent to the storage of certain cookies on your device and to document this in compliance with data protection regulations. Usercentrics provides an overview of all cookies used (first-party and third-party cookies). Through Usercentrics, we can inform you precisely and transparently about the use of cookies on our website. You will always receive an up-to-date cookie notice that complies with data protection regulations, and you can decide for yourself which cookies to allow and which to block.

In this process, the following information is transmitted to Usercentrics and processed there:

  • Your consent(s) or the withdrawal of your consent(s)
  • Your IP address
  • Information About Your Browser
  • Information About Your Device
  • Date and time of your visit to the website

Furthermore, Usercentrics stores a cookie in your browser to be able to associate the consents you have given—or their revocation—with your account.

The legal basis for accessing the end device is Section 25(2)(2) of the TDDDG, according to which consent is not required if the processing is absolutely necessary for the use of the online service. The permissibility of the legally compliant use of cookies requiring consent, the legally compliant documentation and verifiability of consents, and the error-free functioning of the website is further governed by Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (legitimate interest). Your personal data will be stored until you request that we delete it, delete the cookies yourself, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

  • Hostname of the connecting computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP adress

The lawfulness of this processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (legitimate interest). Our legitimate interest lies in providing a website with information and offering services to our customers, as well as in optimizing the operation of the website.

The data we process is necessary to enable you to access and make optimal use of the website. This data must necessarily be processed during the use of a digital service. You are not required to provide this data. However, failure to provide it would mean that you would not be able to access the website at all or in its entirety.

Contact us via the form, email, or phone

If you would like to contact us, a contact form is available for this purpose. You will need to provide the following information on this form:

  • Last Name

In addition, you may voluntarily provide the following information:

  • Company Name
  • Phone Number

In addition, in some places on the website, you have the option to open an email addressed to us with just one click. You also have the option to contact us by phone via the website (with a single click).

The lawfulness of this processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures). You are not required to provide this data. Providing this data is voluntary and is not required to use the contact form or to conclude or perform a contract. Comment feature on this website

For the comment feature on this page, in addition to your comment, information regarding the time the comment was posted, your email address, and—if you are not posting anonymously—the username you selected will be stored.

Our comment feature stores the IP addresses of users who post comments. Since we do not review comments on this website before they are published, we need this data to be able to take action against the author in the event of legal violations such as insults or propaganda.

As a user of the site, you can subscribe to comments after logging in. You will receive a confirmation email to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided. You can unsubscribe from this feature at any time via a link in the informational emails. In this case, the data entered when subscribing to comments will be deleted; however, if you have provided this data to us for other purposes or elsewhere (e.g., newsletter subscription), it will remain with us.

Comments and the associated data (e.g., IP address) are stored and remain on this website until the content being commented on has been completely deleted or the comments must be deleted for legal reasons (e.g., offensive comments).

Comments are stored based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). You may withdraw your consent at any time. To do so, simply send us an informal email. The lawfulness of any data processing that has already taken place remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

3. Social Media

Social-Media-Plugins

We use social media plugins on our website, specifically from Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. You can usually recognize these plugins by their respective social media logos.

As soon as you activate or interact with a plugin, a direct connection is established to the respective provider’s server. In doing so, the provider receives the information that you have visited our website using your IP address. If you are logged into your social media account at the same time, the respective provider can associate your visit to our website with your user account.

Processing is based on your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and Section 25(1) of the TDDDG, insofar as information is stored on or read from your device for the use of the plugins. You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect.

For information on the purpose and scope of data collection, as well as the further processing and use of the data by social networks, and your related rights and privacy settings, please refer to the privacy policies of the respective providers.

The personal data collected through social media plugins will be deleted unless we have a legitimate interest in retaining it. Only the data necessary to achieve the respective purpose will be stored. We have no influence over the retention period of your data that is stored by the operators of the social networks for their own purposes.

4. Analytics Tools and Advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses features of the web analytics service Google Analytics 4. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies.” These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there.

The lawfulness of this processing with regard to access to the end device is governed by Section 25(1) of the TDDDG (consent). The lawfulness of the analysis of usage data is further governed by Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR (consent).

When using Google Analytics, the following data in particular may be processed: page views, session start and duration, clicks, scrolls, language settings, technical information about your browser and the devices you use, as well as your referrer URL (the website from which you arrived at our website).

To analyze your user behavior and continuously optimize our website, metadata regarding your approximate location (e.g., continent, country) is derived from your IP address, among other things. For visits to the website originating from the European Union or other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, IP address data is, according to Google, processed exclusively within the European Union or other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area and subsequently deleted. You can find more detailed information on this directly from Google: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/12017362?hl=de

However, the transfer of this IP address data to third countries (such as the U.S.) cannot be entirely ruled out.

Data transfers to a third country, such as the United States, are carried out in accordance with the specific requirements of Articles 44 et seq. of the GDPR (either based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission or through the use of standard data protection clauses). You can find more information on this directly from Google. https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks?hl=de%20.

You can prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting your browser settings accordingly; however, please note that in this case, you may not be able to use all features of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address), as well as from processing this data, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link:: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

We have enabled the IP anonymization feature on this website. As a result, Google truncates your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmitting it to the United States. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide us with other services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

This website uses the “demographic characteristics” feature of Google Analytics. This allows for the creation of reports that provide information about the age, gender, and interests of site visitors. This data is derived from Google’s interest-based advertising and from visitor data provided by third parties. This data cannot be associated with any specific individual. You can disable this feature at any time via the ad settings in your Google Account or generally prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data as described in the section “Objecting to Data Collection.”

In addition, we use Google Signals. This allows Google Analytics to collect additional information about you, provided you have enabled personalized ads (specifically, interests and demographic data).

In addition, ads may be served to you as a user in cross-device remarketing campaigns.

User- and event-level data stored by Google that is linked to cookies, user identifiers (e.g., User ID), or advertising IDs (e.g., DoubleClick cookies, Android Advertising ID) is anonymized or deleted after 14 months. For more details, please see the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=de

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent the collection of your data during future visits to this website: [google_analytics_optout]Disable here / Opt-out[/google_analytics_optout].

For more information on how Google Analytics handles user data, please see Google’s Privacy Policy:

 https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, a service for displaying advertisements. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google AdSense uses so-called “cookies,” which are text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of how the website is used. Google AdSense also uses so-called web beacons (invisible images). These web beacons allow information such as visitor traffic on these pages to be analyzed.

The information generated by cookies and web beacons regarding the use of this website (including your IP address) and the delivery of ad formats is transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. This information may be shared by Google with its contractual partners. However, Google will not associate your IP address with any other data it holds about you. Data transfers to a third country, such as the United States, are carried out in accordance with the specific requirements of Articles 44 et seq. of the GDPR (either based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission or the use of standard data protection clauses). You can find more information on this directly from Google. https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks?hl=de%20.

The lawfulness of this processing, with regard to access to the end device, is governed by Section 25(1) of the TDDDG (consent). The lawfulness of the analysis of user behavior is further governed by Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR (consent).

The personal data collected through Google AdSense will be deleted unless we have a legitimate interest in retaining it. In any case, only those data that are absolutely necessary to achieve the relevant purpose will continue to be stored.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly; however, we would like to point out that, in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. By using this website, you consent to the processing of the data collected about you by Google in the manner described above and for the purpose stated above.

You are not required to provide this personal data. However, failure to provide it may result in your inability to use the website or to use it to its full extent.

Google Ads Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Ads conversion tracking. Google Ads is an online advertising program provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

As part of Google Ads, we use what is known as conversion tracking to draw attention to our offerings on external websites using advertising materials (known as Google Ads). Based on the data from the advertising campaigns, we can determine how successful individual advertising measures are. Our goal is to show you ads that are relevant to you and to make our website more interesting for you.

These ads are delivered by Google via so-called “ad servers.” To do this, we use ad server cookies, which allow us to measure certain performance metrics, such as the number of times ads are displayed or the number of clicks by users. If you arrive at our website via a Google ad, Google Ads will store a cookie on your device.

These cookies enable Google to recognize your web browser. If a user visits certain pages on an Ads customer’s website and the cookie stored on their computer has not yet expired, Google and the customer can determine that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page. Each Ads customer is assigned a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be tracked across the websites of Ads customers. The data and information collected through the use of ad server cookies are used by Google to generate visitor statistics for our website. We use these visitor statistics to determine the total number of users who were referred to us via advertisements.

Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to Google’s server. We have no control over the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and therefore provide you with the following information to the best of our knowledge: Through the integration of Ads Conversion, Google receives information that you have accessed the relevant section of our website or clicked on one of our ads. If you are registered with a Google service, Google may associate your visit with your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or are not logged in, it is possible that the provider may obtain and store your IP address.

The legal basis for the use of Google Ads conversion tracking with regard to access to the end device is Section 25(1) of the TDDDG (consent). The permissibility of analyzing usage data is further governed by Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, according to which processing is permissible if the data subject has given consent to the processing of personal data concerning him or her for one or more specific purposes.

The personal data collected as part of Google Ads conversion tracking is deleted unless we have a legitimate interest in retaining it further. In any case, only those data that are absolutely necessary to achieve the relevant purpose will continue to be stored.

The information generated by the cookies regarding the use of the website is transmitted to a Google server in Ireland and stored there. In some cases, the data may also be transferred to the United States. Data transfers to a third country, such as the United States, are carried out in accordance with the specific requirements of Articles 44 et seq. of the GDPR (either based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission or the use of standard data protection clauses). You can find more information on this directly from Google.: policies.google.com/technologies/ads

For more information about Google Ads and Google Conversion Tracking, please see Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are set and to allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis, to block cookies in certain cases or generally, and to enable the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

reCAPTCHA is designed to verify whether data entry on this website (e.g., in a contact form) is performed by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyzes the website visitor’s behavior based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as the website visitor accesses the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various pieces of information (e.g., IP address, the length of time the website visitor spends on the website, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is transmitted to Google. In some cases, data may also be transferred to the United States. Data transfers to a third country, such as the United States, are carried out in accordance with the specific requirements of Articles 44 et seq. of the GDPR (either based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission or the use of standard data protection clauses). Further information on this can be found directly on Google’s website at policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks.

reCAPTCHA analyses run entirely in the background. Website visitors are not notified that an analysis is taking place.

The legal basis for accessing the end device is Section 25(1) of the TDDDG (consent). The permissibility of the automated test to distinguish humans from machines is further governed by Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR (consent). The provision of data is neither required by law nor necessary for the conclusion of a contract. Failure to provide the data will result in your inability to use the corresponding forms.

We do not store any personal data through the integration of reCAPTCHA. The personal data collected by Google is deleted unless Google has a legitimate interest in retaining it. In any case, only the data that is absolutely necessary to achieve the relevant purpose will continue to be stored. Where possible, personal data is anonymized.
